Mezellini: the company behind the brand and how much it earns

Mezellini sausages are made by Aviselect SRL, registered in 1997 in the village of Bulboaca, Anenii Noi district — the same address the brand gives on its website. In 2025 the company had revenue of 287 million lei, 5% more than in 2024, and a net profit of 10.2 million, almost double the year before. It employs 231 people.

Who makes Mezellini

The mezellini.md website does not name a legal entity, but it gives an address: Anenii Noi, Bulboaca. In the State Register, the company at this address is Aviselect SRL, whose main activity is "products from meat, poultry and rabbit". It has existed since February 1997.

The brand's website lists six product groups: frankfurters and wieners, parizer and brawn, cooked-smoked and semi-smoked salami, dry-cured salami, cooked-smoked meat products, and plant-based products. Mezellini is sold in Kaufland, Metro, Family Market, Velmart and other chains.

Aviselect in numbers, 2020–2025

Over five years revenue grew by 65%. Most of the growth came in 2021 and 2022. Sales were flat at about 272 million in 2023 and 2024, then rose again by 5.4% in 2025.

What that means per day

287 million lei a year averages 786 thousand lei of sales per day. With 231 employees, that is about 1.24 million lei of revenue per employee per year.

A thin margin, but a growing one

Out of every 100 lei of revenue, Aviselect kept 3.5 lei of net profit in 2025, up from 2 lei in 2024. The gross margin — what is left after the cost of the goods sold — was 14%.

Thin margins are normal in the meat industry: raw materials, energy and transport take most of the price.

Debts and assets

In 2025 the company's assets grew by 29% to 245 million lei and its equity by 18% to 67 million. Current liabilities nearly doubled, from 88 to 163 million, while long-term liabilities fell from 45 to 15 million. In total, liabilities rose from 133 to 178 million lei.

The statements show the figures, not the reasons. A shift like this can mean, for example, that part of the debt became due within a year, but the report does not say so.

A second company with the Mezellini brand

In public business directories, Augur-Perla SA from Chișinău also lists the mezellini.md website and the same brands. In the State Register its activities are wholesale trade and meat production. The link comes from the directories, not the register, so we show it separately.

Augur-Perla reported revenue of 283 million lei in 2025 (+5.6%) and a net margin of 2.3%. Its headcount fell from 186 to 118 in three years while sales grew.

Together, the two companies reported 570 million lei of revenue and 16.6 million of net profit in 2025.

Where it stands in the industry

For comparison, two of the largest companies in the meat industry reported in 2025: Rogob, 1.58 billion lei, and Carmez Processing, 1.28 billion. By revenue, Aviselect is about four times smaller than Carmez.
